Ask me anything. I’m 20 and live in New Hampshire and these are my cars. I just finished fighting with a band clamp holding the intercooler on the Saab. Two Beetles (‘67 and ‘61 respective to the above photo), ‘88 Mercedes 300SE, ‘94 Ranger, ‘97 Saab 900SE, and ‘14 Focus ST. Pictures of those below.
1988 Mercedes, Oskar. More senior Oppos might be surprised to find I still have this. After I replace the battery it should be getting traded for an ‘84 Nissan 200SX.
Ranger.
Reminder of what the Saab looked like. Little more current:
Aaaaaaaand FoST:
Have at it.

Your VWs are what I totally enjoy. I have a 67 Sunroof’d L456. I love it and completely enjoy your VW posts. Please explain why you love owning/wrenching on the VW’s so much.

I’ve seen that site! The ‘67 is cool, it’s a Euro so it still looks like the US ‘66.

Oh holy shit. Uh....
Well I really enjoy the community. I also enjoy how easy they are to lower, and how large of an aftermarket they are.
That was a pretty lame answer, haha.

I haven’t touched the ‘61 since I bought it (has some mods on it already I could go into if you wanted) , trying to finish the ‘67.
‘67:
-Adjustable beam front suspension
-Indexed rear end (don’t remember how much, can find out if you’d like to know)
-Engine from a ‘74 (1600cc vs. stock 1300)
-Right now it’s on stock wheels but do have BTRs waiting to go on
-Baja stinger exhaust, apron cut to fit it.
That’s pretty much it.

Apparently its common for colognes to tick because the valve train doesnt get oiled correctly.

What are you looking to do with one? There’s two main types and depending on what you want to do one might be better for you.

No, It probably blew because they also have an issue with headgaskets.

I don’t know what I would want to do with it. The first answer is drive it but... beyond that, I don’t know.

I forgot you had that Merc. Such a great looking car.
What got you into VW’s and how in god’s name can you afford so many cars at 20?!? I’m 23 and have a hard time affording only two haha

I forget I have the Mercedes because it’s offsite.
A friend of mine had a pretty heavily modified ‘73 Super that kind of got me into them.

Well I kind of sold Oskar but never got paid for him, and he’s at that guy’s house. I tinker on him but he’s so far away it’s kind of a pain.

Why do you have so many cars, when you have perfectly good beetles?

I enjoy a lot of freedoms in my life but if I did have to die I suppose I could do it with an erection.
What an odd question.

Orford
. It’s the only place I’ve ever lived. 1200 people, very small town feel. There’s a row of 6-8 houses in town called the Ridge Houses that cost over $1,000,000 each, but they’re the exceptions to the rule. I’d say it’s very family friendly. The school is right in the middle of town and actually encompasses children from 4 towns. Even though it draws from 4 towns my graduating class, which was large for the school, was like 54.
Read the bit about crime for a good laugh:

I’m sorry I missed this until now somehow.
Other cars I’ve owned are a 1973 VW Fastback and a 1968 Chrysler Town & Country, 6 passenger with the 383.
